Caroline Flint congratulates Community Centre fundraiser for Sudan

Don Valley MP Caroline Flint was delighted to join Dunscroft residents to support a fundraiser for the crisis in Sudan organised by the St Lawrence Community Centre.

Ms Flint was pleased to receive the cheque for £220 raised
at the event.

Said Ms Flint: "Norma Sturrock, the Community Centre Chair, and her team of volunteers have done a marvellous job raising money at short notice for a crisis that is killing thousands of lives.

"Norma is an outstanding fundraiser for important causes here in Dunscroft and she is the first to help tackle problems here in Dunscroft. But these ladies have shown that whatever our problems at home, there is always someone worse off - and that is no more apparent than the humanitarian emergency in Darfur, Western Sudan."

"I am proud to have supported this event in the knowledge that this money will help to save lives."
