MP praises Hatfield Church Flower Festival

Don Valley MP Caroline Flint has praised the organisers of the St Lawrence Church Flower Festival after the MP formally opened the three day event.

Said Ms Flint: "The Flower Festival was a really original idea with stunning floral designs set off against the architecture of the church and the Millennium window. I am sure the many visitors to the church were impressed by the tremendous floral designs on display."

The floral art designs were provided by students studying Floral Art at Doncaster College; and all of their work was formally assessed giving them marks towards one of their modules.

The event is said to have raised over £2,800 towards the Hatfield Church Building Trust, but the final figure is still being calculated.
