Caroline Flint welcomes publication
of parliamentary allowances

Caroline Flint has welcomed publication of parliamentary allowances.

Said Ms Flint:  “Today’s publication is long overdue, but now all of my constituents can see what costs are incurred to support the running of my office and the costs incurred to support having a second home for parliamentary purposes.

“From July all my current invoices and claims will be published month by month, so there will be no waiting to see what your MP claims.”

Ms Flint has welcomed the Kelley Inquiry.  “Future arrangements will be independently regulated and the Kelley Inquiry has been charged with finding a fair and open system of allowances.  Only when this is in place will the public begin to trust the system.”
