Caroline Flint praises Cantley allotment project

5 November 2004

Don Valley Caroline Flint has praised a new project launched by the Cantley & Bessacarr Community Partnership.
The project, which will be overseen by Groundwork Dearne Valley, will engage young people age 14-16 to develop skills on local allotments, which will be restored and developed.

Said Caroline Flint MP: "This project helps young people who are at risk of losing interest in school, to develop their skills, team work and interest through an ambitious year-round project to cultivate and develop allotment land. I hope that in due course every secondary school in my constituency becomes involved in the project."
